Mark Harris enjoys working
with beginners, as well as advanced students. He teaches all styles
of dance, specializing in West Coast Swing. Mark is a U.S. Open Swing Dance
Championships Award Winner, an Eight time State Swing Dance Champion, and
was 1st in the Nation on the Masters Tour (Masters National Swing Dance
Championships) for ten months during 2008! |

Mark has a vast
background in dance. He was a Judging Coordinator for the Oklahoma/Kansas
State Swing Dance Association, a former State Director of the NTA (National
Teacher Association), and was a Co-Event Director of Dancin' Up A Storm For
The Shrine Hospital For Children, and the Heartland Dance Festival & KC
Swing Challenge. Mark was a featured dancer in the feature film, "Blog, The
Movie."

Mark was also the instructor for the Cow Town Swing
Dance Club and the Topeka Swing Dance Club. He, and his partner, Glenda
Evans, finished the 2008 Masters Tour in second place, missing 1st Place by
one point, and were
also 2nd in the Nation on the Masters Tour in 2007. Mark and his wife, Mary,
won 3rd Place on
the 2006 Masters Tour. |

Mark enjoys dancing with his students,
at the social dances, in studio shows and in Pro/Am Competitions and
Showcases. Many of Mark's students, and former students, have done very well
in competition. |

|
Recently, Jane Buttenhoff won 3rd Place Overall at the
2009 American Country Dance Association National Championships in Newcomer
Gold. Linda Ashley won 1st Place Overall in Newcomer
Gold at the 2008 Oklahoma Country Challenge, and at the 2008 ACDA National
Championships. Mark & his students, helped
Walters Dance Center win Top Studio (Out of State) at the 2008 Nebraska
Invitational Ballroom Championships! |

| Mark
travels to many dance events during the year, either working as part of the
event staff by teaching workshops, judging, scoring, as MC or DJ, or competing on the Masters Tour. He teaches private lessons
all week, and teaches the regular
Tuesday & Saturday night group classes at Walters Dance Center, as well as
Youth Ballroom Dance classes at several area schools. Check out this

Mark also enjoys helping couples
prepare for their "First Dance". He can either teach you a few moves that
fit "Your Song", or choreograph the whole song to give it that "Special
Touch" that everyone remembers. The choice is yours! Mark will be glad to
